Why leaving your Comfort Zone is Magic! 8 Benefits
Our comfort zone is just so cozy isn’t it?
We strive for comfort and avoid discomfort. After all, we deserve to be comfortable! We advise our kids not to do anything they are not comfortable with. We love to hang out with our friends at school, then make choices for our comfort as we grow. We love our comfy job, our comfy home, our comfy couch, our comfy lifestyle. In fact, we work hard for comfort. Comfort makes us feel safe.
Comfort can also be mundane and become boring!
Comfort also makes us resistant to change. A prime example is the Pandemic, the rapid changes we have experienced in the world, in recent times. The rapidly changing landscape promoted high anxiety, fear of the future, and saw an increase in drinking and drugging, domestic violence and depression. Of course there was an opposite side to this, I will elaborate on.
The Danger
The danger lies in the destructive patterns we form, under the guise of comfort. These patterns can easily lead us down the spiral and become very difficult to break. Perhaps our home is our place of comfort and we stay in it for so long, it then becomes difficult to leave.
