Are You an Entrepreneur, a Person of Influence?

There are misconceptions about what an Entrepreneur actually is. Google will give you this definition: “a person who organizes and operates a business or businesses, taking on greater than normal financial risks in order to do so.”

In my opinion, an Entrepreneur is not defined by what they do, but who they are as a person. Entrepreneurship is a mindset. You can be doing anything and be an Entrepreneur! This Google definition is outdated. Further, although an Entrepreneur goes into the unknown, this does not imply Risk! Most Entrepreneurs would not define themselves as Risk takers.

An Entrepreneur is simply someone who sees a Problem, then finds a Solution to add Value! A stay at home mum or a scientist can be an Entrepreneur as much as a traditional business owner.

Today Entrepreneurship is about Leadership and Influence. The word Employee is becoming more and more obsolete, as teams are encouraged. This is where partnership becomes essential in Success. No one ever became a huge Success alone.

Every Person of Influence knows the value of collaboration and partnership. Partnerships should always be a win win on both sides. They should be with people we like and strike a relationship with. Then there is a genuine desire to propel to Success for all parties involved.

Likewise, it is wise to learn from people you aspire to be like. Having the best coach or mentor is highly recommended. If you want to be a Successful Entrepreneur, a Person of Influence, people you work with, will determine the level of success you Reach.
