As the movement of positive gender equality and empowerment of women becomes more and more popular, there are more and more opportunities for women to take advantage of being leaders or self-financed to assert themselves. That is why women today need to get out of the box to convert thoughts and behaviours into actions and results.
Women often express that they don’t feel they are worthy of their work. They also worry more about themselves appearing unattractive, off-putting, or attracting too much attention. After that, their dreams and aspirations fade away once they get married and have children.
To me, to be a leader of a marketing company affiliated with a series of websites on different topics, I tried and changed a lot. It is a journey that is not too long but enough to realize its worth. I wouldn’t be without vision, leadership, perseverance, and effort. This is also why I want to share this story with more people.
Five years ago, I worked as an assistant at an online education centre. At that time, a work environment with too many men working environment always made me feel unable to rise. I worked as an assistant for two years with a salary that barely survives the difficult days with dozens of bills ranging from electricity and water to daily living expenses.
I often ask myself, is the job practical to pursue? I’ve always had the dream of building a certain passion project or a new career, but I still don’t understand why I haven’t made it. In the future, being a wife and mother, where will I get the funding to support my family? So why not change and act responsibly new now, right?
Something you love but don’t do, you might regret for many years. If you don’t change the way you think about your reality to determine what is slowing you down, you are forever not making an impact. Not ignoring their efforts to pursue their passion, you know that many female business owners have historically started their start-ups earlier than their male counterparts. Why not make some simple changes and take control of your life.
Usually, the only thing that stands in the way of our success is our fear. We love quibbling that we are too busy to achieve certain goals. So, we put our wants and passions aside.
For me, a boring job with a meager salary made me act. I had to reassess my thoughts and find what my passions were, which I rediscovered in entrepreneurship. I decided to quit my job right after and found a new job that helped build my passion. Building a green living blog and making money from it is a great idea I came up with.
I worked at the new affiliate marketing company as an ordinary content writer. Their topic websites offer solutions for the tips, tricks, jobs offer, and products’ discount for search engine readers. Thereby, they market the products of some brands and receive a commission afterward. A great job to learn, break the silent barrier, and develop yourself in the business.
It took me two years of dedicating and demonstrating my ability to get some of the company’s websites to start to generate sales. Work performance and the trust of the director, I have been assigned to run a number of websites dedicated to promoting and manage a team of twenty content writers. This is awesome! With responsibility, of course, I was offered a higher salary for a job that I absolutely love.
Once everything was in the frame, I started building my own green living blog, Ecopict.com. Although there is a long way to go to build, with the passion and what I have learned, I will get good results.
In my opinion, barriers in the standard working environment will promote the development of women’s entrepreneurship. In the end, it all depends on your choice.
So how about leveraging this wonderful women’s empowerment movement to produce clear results? Transform culture, whether you are in an organization, an industry, or any environment, to express your desires into action and lasting change.
In my opinion, if you are a female leader looking for the diversity and potential of membership in your company, try the following for your team:
- Determine the level of desire for gender equality in businesses.
- Identify emerging female employees in your organization. As a leader, please show your affection and support! They will become devoted to the company more than ever.
- Create women’s empowerment groups in your organization. Let them express themselves and have a say in the group.
- Identify the actions that everyone, especially leaders and managers must take to produce those results.
Both men and women have the right to become the leader in a certain group of people or even greater. If you hesitate because it’s too late or because you already have a family to start a passion, don’t. Our Cultural Survival depends on it…
