How to Create Time You Wish You Had!
Remember the old saying time flies when you’re having fun? That is a fallacy! When we enjoy something, we focus our attention on it and slow time down!
As Einstein put it, “for us physicists, the distinction between past, present and future is only an illusion, however persistent”.
Time and space are fluent. There are many theories about time, and we know that it was created to stop everything happening at once. As time and money are generally our biggest concerns, reasons, excuses and so on, it is high time we create more time!
So many of us say “too much to do”, “not enough hours in the day”, racing, running late, stressed, delays, kids, work, appointments, health, meetings, we are busy, busy, busy, it is a rush! We are not happy about it. In fact, when was the last time you just stopped, treated yourself or had fun?
The fact is we all have the same amount of time each day, though for our young ones, time is very slow. The more we grow the faster time flies! Einstein’s theory of relativity states that the closer one is to earth, the slower times goes. Why then, do some of us have time to do lunch, get a massage, and lounge around, while others are slaving away?
Here is a little secret:
It all comes down to the choices we make and our highest priorities. If you were to reflect on what takes up most of your time, you will have your highest priority. When something is a high priority for us, we make time for it. This may be a good time to evaluate your priorities!
Next, to give yourself a break for one hour in the day try yoga! It is like having a mini holiday every day!
Put your time to good use. “Good use” is a subjective term here, but it could mean both work that doesn’t get much done or leisure time that isn’t enjoyable.
Here are some places to start looking:
Work: cutting time from work isn’t easy. Cutting low value work is possible. It is about doing the right things, with the most valuable outcome. Outsourcing menial tasks to virtual assistance or simply cutting work that is a useful can help you reclaim work hours.
