Have you ever said, “wow I’ve given myself a beating”?

It’s said that others don’t abuse us as much as we do ourselves. When you think about it, how do you treat your body, mind and spirit? Does your inner critic give you Hell?

Healthy Self-Worth is all about the opinion we hold for ourselves and the way we treat ourselves.

Here are some signs you may be Abusing yourself:

  1. You eat unconsciously, often satiating emotions with food and you don’t care if its junk food or if it’s bad for you.
  2. You smoke, drink, do drugs, or have other addictions
  3. You don’t honour and respect yourself
  4. You don’t look after yourself
  5. You don’t sleep well, eat well, drink lots of water
  6. You put yourself last
  7. You don’t think you are important
  8. You put up with toxic relationships

I remember trashing myself when I missed out on acting jobs. I came into adulthood lacking self-worth or boundaries for that matter and boy did I dishonour myself in the process!

Thankfully, thanks to panic attacks as a child, I got into personal growth early and it saved my life, literally! I can now say, after an extraordinary journey (a story for another day) I have moved from struggle to ease and grace and I want that for you!

Making Conscious Choices is a step toward Self-Love. So be aware of your choices and make an effort not to judge yourself in the process! It is all about the journey after all, not the destination Goddess.
