I am a City Hermit

GODDESS IS OUR INNATE ESSENCE

Just had a glorious coconut oil, hot stone Thai massage, feeling delicious and I was thinking about the media and how much it focuses on families in isolation. So, today I want to shed light on all those who live alone!

I have worked from my home office for the last two or so years. I love working in my own time and space, doing what I love, empowering women. When these restrictions began, I must say it didn’t really phase me. My combined yoga and sound healing studio took their classes online, I have had Netflix for entertainment and my groceries delivered. I actually enjoy my home, bathed in sunlight all day long, lovely city view, happy as Larry!

I have now started to wonder whether I am, in fact becoming a city hermit! I have become so comfortable, I have to make an effort to go out! Thanks to Zoom etc, it’s become really easy to connect online.

Could this be a sign of the times, my age group, changes?

So I thought I would look into statistics, because I do know for a fact thousands of people are suffering at home, I am super busy as a Mentor/Coach! On that, I have created a Goddess Club, group Online coaching, with the first Month Free, here is the link if you’d like to join in! https://areti-goddess-events-pty-ltd.myshopify.com/collections/frontpage/products/areti-goddess-graduate-membership

Nearly one third of people in the City of Sydney area live alone. There seems to be a growing trend, particularly with single women and we are staying single longer! There are of course elderly and other people who find themselves in a vulnerable position.

“During the past half-century, our species has embarked on a remarkable social experiment. For the first time in human history, great numbers of people — at all ages, in all places, of every political persuasion — have begun settling down as singletons.”

That’s what the sociologist Eric Klinenberg said in Going Solo, his important book on the growing number of people who live alone (whom he calls “singletons”).

So how does Covid-19 impact those living alone?

There are many resources at our fingertips to alleviate feelings of isolation and if social media is any measure, we are able to connect in creative ways. Online learning and business have also increased exponentially, hence this being the best time of my life! How lucky was I to go Online with my business last year, so grateful!

The benefit of city living is also our ability to step outside our door and visit cafes, even for takeaway, or shops, see friends, at a safe distance! We can order online, I guess the only downside is physical contact. That is why I regularly invest in beautiful massages!

I always advocate shifting our perspective to Solutions, what we can create with what we are given. No doubt the world is a mess and we fear for our future. In the interest of mental health however, there has never been a better time to use our imagination to create!

There is a method to that madness, it is not as “away with the ferries” as you may think! Every time we think about, imagine, feel or sense an experience, lifestyle or even better version of self, we create new Neural Pathways! Doesn’t if follow then, that we can actually create lemonade out of these lemons? Pardon the pun.

Today is day 30, the last day on a challenge I undertook, with Clickfunnels and I did it! Here’s what I developed if you are interested www.aretigoddessevents.com . My point is, there are a myriad ways to stay busy and avoid boredom, thanks to the Internet.

So, there you have it, my thoughts for today.

Wishing you Amazing Success,

Tula Tzoras
