This Documentary is one I recommend watching. If you have been following my Articles, you may recall, I recently mentioned the inclusivity of Models in all shapes and sizes, a welcome sign of progress.

Investigated by director Matt Tyrnauer, this documentary tells the evocative story of the Victoria’s Secret brand and its longtime CEO, the formidable, mysterious, billionaire Les Wexner. This three part series has it all; fashion, sex, power, money and misconduct.

Victoria’s Secret, a multi-billion dollar industry was instrumental in shaping our culture and ideas about sex. It was a constant conversation about ethics and morality, the fine line between soft porn and “fashion”. Glitz, glamour, incredible shows and productions became every man and woman’s fantasy. This was a result of strategic marketing and merchandising. Young models advocating female empowerment in the face of blatant sexuality, clearly reciting learned scripts.

As the series unfolds, CEO Les Wexner’s close ties (spanning over around 20 years), to convicted and disgraced sex offender and financier, Jeffrey Epstein, come to light. The plot thickens as further ties to the mega rich and powerful, including prominent politicians, allegations and law suits eventuate.
