100 Countries, 35 Million Women, a Monumental time in History #G100

Have you ever tirelessly worked at your purpose and passion, or had a vision you saw realised, even years later? Realising that everything happened to bring all the pieces together, like a jigsaw, revelling in the Magic of this Universe…

I cannot begin to describe the Feeling, it is incredible!

I have just experienced it. My journey began as I spent years and thousands on personal/spiritual growth. I became an avid student. I found I was really passionate about empowering people too. As it happened, I was a self obsessed Actor, who had visions from which she made films, until a very different vision changed the course of life.

I envisioned a global Tsunami, eradicating poverty and suffering, with the Continent of Africa in focus. I would have forgotten about it and let it go, except, all of a sudden, a radio switched on and ideas about it began to pour in. I couldn’t stop them and they were great ideas, so I started writing them down, in the middle of the night.

This was the beginning of a Global humanitarian project, dedicated to the UNMP, with a group of talented volunteers, also involving charities, TV Production companies and other organisations like ACFID. The UNMP was a project 189 countries signed up for, to at least halve poverty and suffering by 2015. The idea was not to give people charity, it was to empower them to Thrive. As we were aligned, we thought we would offer our work and resources to this project.

This is a long story for another day. As time went on, I worked as a volunteer, empowered indigenous girls, then ran for the Seat of Sydney Federal Election in 2016 to empower people. Until the next big nudge, vision, message arrived…

Focus on Empowering Women!

I wondered why it was women alone. When I did some research, I was horrified. Worse, I had been through a lot of it myself. Again this was a nudge I could not ignore. So I became a Mentor and Coach. It didn’t occur to me that I was 52 and had never run a company before. I just followed my purpose.

Sustainability has always been the running theme.

I created a specific formula to empower women for personal and professional success. It has now become my Legacy, the Areti Goddess Online Program. I called the company Areti, because she was a Goddess in ancient greek mythology, personifying excellence, high potential and virtue. It is also my baptised name. Goddess is defined by full acceptance of our light and shadow, of who we are and are not, unapologetic!

Recently, I connected with a truly impressive woman called Dr. Hynd Bouhia. We connected immediately and found a lot in common. Her Phd is in Sustainable Development! We knew we wanted to collaborate straight away!

Here’s where it gets Interesting!

Since the auspicious year for the Rise of Female Leaders, I have been spruiking the necessity for us to Unite and smash those statistics against us. Statistics like lesser pay, ageing in poverty, abuse, femicide, health, the list goes on. With the world in chaos, it is clear that female leadership will be of great benefit to humanity, for our cultural survival!

Suddenly, speaking with Dr. Bouhia, I was invited to become the Australian Chair for the G100 Global Women’s Economic Empowerment Summit!

All my dreams, since the global humanitarian project, are now coming true! I can see the design clearly!

I am truly honoured to be named the Australian Chair and humbled to be in such esteemed company. The best thing is that other organisations are connected, it is all Free and all of a sudden, I feel like my dream of a world sized umbrella for women to unite and reclaim their power, is happening!
